John Paul II Reading Group

The group originated at the Princeton University Catholic ministry in 2008.  Organized by Dr. Marzenna James and Dr. Elżbieta Napierała, it is an opportunity to engage in a discussion of encyclicals focused on the relationship between faith and reason, and the role of intellectual inquiry in the life of faith.  

Cardinal Robert Sarah, God or Nothing, 2015 (available on Amazon.com); please focus on chapter 9 (The Joy of Gospel According to Pope Francis), skim the rest of the book.

A Jubilee: A Celebration of God’s Mercy

An evening to hear about what the Jubilee Year of Mercy has meant, means now and will mean for the future. It will be a time to listen to two Missionaries of Mercy commissioned by His Holiness Pope Francis, Fr. Joseph Hlubik and Fr. Vincent Euk. There will be a service at the University Chapel for adoration, Confession time, and a reception following with pizza and soft drinks.

Women's Reading Group

This fall, Professor Margarita Mooney (*05) will lead monthly discussions on about the intellectual and spiritual formation of women. Join us Tuesday, October 4th, from 5:30-7 pm in the Mathey College dining hall. Our first topic will be what Edith Stein can teach us about women’s dignity in the workplace.
