Fridays 6-7:30 PM
Join the vibrant community of undergrad and grad women at Aquinas this Friday for dinner and fellowship!
St. John Damascene described prayer as “the raising of one’s mind and heart to God.” The Catechism tells us, “Whether prayer is expressed in words or gestures, it is the whole man who prays” (CCC, no. 2562). What does this integration of mind and heart, this wholeness of self in prayer, mean in practice?
Drawing on Scripture, the Catechism, and the writings of women religious, we will contemplate how Christ, encountered in prayer and the sacraments, unites our divided selves, that we might “be of the same mind, having the same love (Philippians 2:2).
