Friendship and the Fathers

On the night before His Passion, Christ told the apostles, “I do not call you servants any longer… I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from my Father” (John 15:15).  Following this, St. Thomas Aquinas defined charity as the love of friendship for God. How can we grow in this divine friendship, and how can it transform our dealings with others at home, on campus, and beyond?

Join us for a seminar, guided by Mike Aquilina’s Friendship & the Fathers, where we will explore the way Church Fathers throughout the centuries have explored and modelled the cultivation of friendship, as both a path of intimacy with God and a form of evangelization.
